Karan noticed her downcast face. "Your face is so sad," he said gently. "Did someone say something to you, Princess?"
Veeransh's eyes narrowed. "Who dared to upset you, Didi? Who was it?"
The four men were relentlessly questioning the quiet girl, who couldn't get a word in. The three other women watched, their faces etched with anger.
"That's enough, all of you!" Shree interjected firmly.
Pari added, "How can she speak if you all keep asking questions without letting her answer?"
Retvika declared, "They're standing over her as if pointing a gun!"
Shree playfully hit Veeransh on the head. "How many times do I have to tell you? You're 15, act like it! Don't you understand? And Veer, how many times have I told you to try and behave a bit more maturely?"
"Okay, okay, time out," Srisha said, holding up her hands. "Listen to me, Dad. I'm so sorry I didn't call. I fell asleep last night, and my phone was out on the sofa. Sorry about that, little uncle (Ritesh). I'm feeling perfectly fine; nothing happened to me, big uncle (Karan). You know I had a test today, right? So I was studying all night the day before yesterday and all day yesterday. You know how important a good night's sleep is, and I just woke up, so that's why my face looks like this."
She continued, "And little one, no-one said to me anything. You stop being lil don of the house, Mom (Shree) is right; act like good kids. And Mom, I miss you so much! Little aunt (Retvika), big aunt (Pari), I send you all lots of love and miss you. And please say hello to my two cutie pies; I'm sure they aren't awake yet. I'll talk to you all later; I have some work to do today."
Meanwhile, Veer messaged, "Princess, the guards will meet you at Bangalore airport at 11 AM. Don't worry, I've already spoken to Kriti's dad. I've told him not to tell Kriti who you are for now. Take care, okay?"
Srisha expressed her heartfelt gratitude, "Thank you so much, Dad... You are truly the best, and my entire family is the greatest in the world." After a bit more conversation, Srisha ended the call and quickly got ready for her homework.
Ashvik's room :-
Around 5 AM, Ashvik's eyes fluttered open. He carefully sat up on the swing, his body aching from sleeping in that position. His hands felt numb, and the blood seemed to have pooled there.
Despite the pain, his face showed no sign of discomfort. He quickly got up, took a shower, and prepared himself for the day. Afterwards, he sat down to apply first aid to his hands.
Ashvik thought to himself, "Somehow, in a negative way, that girl has started to affect me. I need to keep some distance from her now. From now on, I'll stay a bit far from her." After thinking this, he applied first aid and went outside.
Meanwhile, on the other side, Srisha, determined, got ready and stood outside Ashvik's flat. Srisha thought to herself, feeling nervous, "Why should I be nervous? This isn't the first time. Besides, this marriage isn't real, and he isn't truly my husband. I need to remember that. It would be better if I stay away from that foreign monkey from now on." Thinking this, she knocked on the door, and Kritika came to open it. Srisha hugged her, smiling.
Srisha exclaimed, "Oh wow, my new bride, you're looking so stunning! My brother-in-law might just have a heart attack!"
Kritika playfully retorted, "You crazy girl, are you alright?"
Srisha replied, "Yes, I'm perfectly fine. What happened to me? Tell me, where is our brother-in-law?"
Suryansh emerged from the kitchen, saying, "I'm right here, sister-in-law! I'm preparing a special toast and juice for you. Please come in."
Srisha, excited, exclaimed, "Wow, brother-in-law, you even know how to cook!" She then took a toast from him.
Ashvik, sitting on the couch, thought to himself, "This seems completely normal to her... Everything is a joke to her, so what's the big deal about this wedding?"
Kritika turned to Ashvik, urging, "Ashvik ji, please eat something. I've prepared a few things and kept them in the fridge. You won't face any trouble for a day or two, so you can eat comfortably."
Ashvik replied with gratitude, "Thank you so much, Bhabhi. But right now, you should focus on your father. If you face any difficulty or issue, don't hesitate to call me; I will come right away."
Suryansh chimed in, "That's all fine. Come here and have breakfast; we also need to leave."
Srisha reminded Kriti, "Kriti, didn't I tell you that you would find guards there? I'll send you the number of their head."
Suryansh questioned, "But how did you arrange the guards?"
Kritika explained, "Siyuu's father is a businessman. Don't ask for his name now, because Siyuu doesn't want to reveal this until she finishes her degree."
Ashvik sat, completely absorbed in his food, seemingly deaf to the conversation happening around him.
Srisha, observing him, thought to herself, "Look at him, eating as if he's doing the food a favor by consuming it. It looks like he probably glares at his meals even before eating them. Huhh... He's so utterly normal, unaffected by this wedding. And why would he be? His entire face is always contorted in a frown. What does it matter to me anyway?"
Later, everyone had breakfast together. Srisha then helped Kritika with some leftover packing. Afterward, she and Ashvik went to the airport to see Kritika and the others off.
After wishing Kritansh (both of them) all the best, Ashvik and Srisha returned home in the same taxi. However, they didn't exchange a single word with each other.
As they stepped out of the bustling society, Srisha and Ashvik walked side-by-side towards their respective floors. Yet, despite their proximity, not a single word was exchanged, nor even a glance. They were like strangers, each lost in their own world.
They both went straight into their own apartments.
Later, Srisha quickly got ready and left for college. Ashvik, too, departed for college in a similar manner. Throughout the entire day, they continued to ignore each other, maintaining a silent distance.
Mumbai -
That evening, Veer and Shree had an interview scheduled. Veer returned early from the office and headed directly to his room. The moment he entered, his eyes fell upon Shree, and he was completely taken aback.
Shree was standing in front of the mirror, preparing herself. She looked incredibly beautiful; it was hard to believe she was 37 years old.
Shree, her bangles jingling softly, looked up. "You're here," she said, a hint of urgency in her voice. "Please get ready quickly. We cancelled the interview last time, we shouldn't be late today."
Veer approached her, his hand gently sliding to her waist, pulling her closer. "If you look this beautiful," he murmured, his voice low, "going for an interview will be impossible. I won't even let you leave this bed, my wife."
Shree's heart fluttered faster. "Oh, you!" she playfully protested, trying to push him away gently. "Come on, move aside!"
Veer leaned in, nuzzling his nose into the soft skin of her neck. "Even after all these years," he whispered, "being close to me still makes your heart race, just like it always used to."
Shree turned and buried her face in his chest. "Even when we are old, when all your teeth are gone and you need a stick to walk, my heart will still beat just as fast when you come near, my love." She kissed him gently near his heart.
Veer responded, "My wife, playing with fire like this... don't you know what the outcome could be?"
Shree playfully retorted, " Ap , Dusht kahike !! ( Oh, you rascal! ) You need to improve a little. Our daughter will be getting married in two or three years!"
Before Shree could say anything more, Veer leaned in, placing his lips on hers and kissing her passionately. Shree returned the kiss with equal fervor. When she started to struggle for breath, Veer finally pulled away.
Veer gently leaned his head against Hers, a soft touch. "I'll be ready soon, my love," he whispered, pressing a kiss to her forehead before leaving the room.
After he departed, Shree touched up her face and reapplied her lipstick. Soon, Veer returned, and together they headed to the interview.
It had been a while since Veer and Shree had done an interview together. The host asked them many questions, and they answered each one thoughtfully and well.
"We often see that marriages in the entertainment industry don't last long, or face many challenges," the host observed. "How is your marriage so strong and healthy despite this? What, in your opinion, makes a marriage truly healthy?"
Veer replied, "Love, trust, loyalty, respect, and communication are key. There are other things too, but these are the most important."
Veer added love is essential in every relationship. Sometimes, the feeling of love might arrive later, but that didn't mean it wasn't there. Trust, I feel, is the most crucial part of marriage. I always advised against acting without thinking, especially if your partner did something unexpected. Instead of jumping to conclusions, one should try to understand the reason behind their actions. Without respect and loyalty, a relationship couldn't truly thrive. Most importantly, communication is the key in any relationship. It was through talking that you truly understood your partner's thoughts and feelings. If problems arose, communication is the tool to solve them. Not talking will only create distance.
Shree emphasized that the most important thing in marriage is comfort and companionship.ย You shouldn't hesitate to express yourself or do things around your partner.ย If guests were over and one partner was busy, the other should offer help.ย As they say, a household belongs to both partners, so the responsibility of running it falls on both.ย Shree had noticed a new trend: some wives expected their husbands to do household chores, which was good.ย However, she had also seen cases where the husband was exhausted, yet still expected to do everything.ย This wasn't fair.ย Her main message was to understand each other.ย If one person was tired, the other likely was too.ย No one should force duties on anyone, regardless of whether it was the wife or the husband.
The hall erupted in applause as Veer and Shree finished speaking.
"Amazing!" exclaimed the host. "Your words truly show why you're called a power couple. It's been a while since we've seen you dance, so perhaps a small performance?"
Shree hesitated. "How can I dance in a saree? It's a bit difficult."
"Just a little something," the host replied, "whatever feels right to you both. We just want to see some of that famous chemistry!"
After a short performance, their interview concluded, and Veer and Shree left for home.
Eternal Love Villa :-
Everyone was seated when Rashi and Riana came running towards them.
"I have something to tell everyone!" Rashi exclaimed, bursting with excitement.
Retvika asked, "What's the big news, dear? You look so happy and excited!"
"Mom, there's a dance competition at our school in one week," Rashi replied. "And Riana and I are both going to participate!"
Pari turned to Riana, "Riana, you too?"
"Yes, Mom," Riana confirmed. "I was actually trying to say no, but she insisted!"
Shree questioned, "Why were you saying no, my child? We all know how well you dance. And I know both my daughters will give an excellent performance."
"We can't just rely on that," Rashi stated. "We need to practice a lot. Ana is perfect, but I need to work really hard... And yes, all of you must come to our event.
Karan pulled both of them into a side hug. "How could we ever miss our daughters' performance?" he asked.
Ritesh chimed in, "And don't worry, we've put you in a school where teachers will treat everyone equally. Forget about any special treatment."
Veer added, "I have complete faith in my daughters. They don't need our name to make their own mark. Come on, it's late now. Go to bed."
Hearing Veer's words, everyone said goodnight to each other and headed to their own rooms to sleep.
